has the furniture to bring your reception area to life – whatever the style and however you see it working. Whether it is used to promote the overall design concept of the workspace or is a coup de théatre in its own right, reception areas are often the most innovative and imaginatively designed of spaces where circulation routes converge. They may be used to promote interaction between departments or used as a control mechanism securing the building, be the hub or a ‘centre of gravity’ used for informal meetings and a place to gather for events and functions. However your reception is intended to work, Dovetail has the products from Knoll, Vitra, Fredericia, USM, Fritz Hansen and others, to make it work really well.

Knoll Florence Knoll Bassett, one half of the founding partners of Knoll Inc. designed this range of armchairs and sofas in 1954, and it is as 'contemporary' now as it was then. Part of  her pioneering work directing the Knoll Planning Unit, she called them "fill-in pieces". A very modest description for what is now deemed a true classic.
Vitra The Coconut Chair, designed by George Nelson, was reintroduced by Vitra in 1988 and is a typical example of 1950's design. It is distinguished by its design purity and restrained use of materials. The comfortable leather upholstered seat suggests a coconut, which has been cut open into eight identical pieces.
Fredericia The 'Distance' series of upholstered seating was designed by Niels Jørgen Haugesen. The most eye-catching feature  is the divided back rest, which provides good sitting comfort while emphasising the simple lines and the impression of lightness.
USM  The Kitos range of 'column and beam' table desking, with its sophisticated Swiss detailing and finishes, is often used in situations where 'image' is important. High-end car showrooms for the likes of BMW and Porsche are just some of the corporate clients for whom Kitos sends out the right 'message'.
Fritz Hansen The classic Swan chair, designed by Arne Jacobsen in the fifties is enjoying a massive revival, and has even been spotted in Estate Agents' offices around London, teamed with its 'sister' chair the Egg, also designed by Mr. Jacobsen.
